About the CEO/Biography:
Vanessa Lynn is born again Chrisitan believer with a solid foundation
in the teachings of Jesus Christ, a proud single mother of two teenage daughters, and a determined, driven, and unbreakable
believer in the gift and vision God has given her of creative arts and writing.
Vanessa Lynn wrote her first stage play in the mid ninties though untitled then, it was never performed
after it was reviewed by a pastor and she was told the play was not for that time. So for nearly 11 years the play sat on
the shelf until an untimely lay off from a corporate job forced her to once again go to the drawing board and type for 2 days
and the result was "Unequally Yoked" written complete in 2 days!
Not having money, a car or even the means or know how to produce such a full scale production, she
was lead by God to cast the play, rehearse and the play opened that same year August 19-20, 2006 at the beautiful Ford Center
for the Performing Arts in Dearborn to a nearly sold out crowd of close to 800.
Shortly after opening weekend other performances were done which lead to a collaboration that was
to convert "Unequally Yoked" into a feature length film, there was one day of shooting in January 2007 and the project
has been on hold since but not for long!
Shortly
after the film she began to work on part 2 which is entitled "The Experience" a very diffrenet monologue based piece
that delved deep into the characters of Unequally Yoked their background and what makes them tick, during this time a full
length sound track "The Answer" was produced and released in April 2007.
During early 2007/late 2006 Vanessa begin to write a very different piece which would later be entitled
"Affairs one night can change your LIFE" which has proven to be her break out piece. A gospel murder mystery that
is a combination of Eve's Bayou and CSI! It took literally 2 years to write the entire show and once completed it has been
called "a masterpiece". Affairs opened in November 2008.
During the past few years she has experienced all the high's and lows that come with the dog eat dog world
of entertainment, but one thing has been consistent her writing and committment to produce quality and memorable productions,
Vanessa keeps writing and the people keep responding!
Vanessa
is beginning to be a very recognizable and known figure in the world of local entertainment, being solicited by playwrights
and producers for advice and assistance, she is humbled by such accolades as she is still continuing to make her own personal
mark in the industry.
Vanessa is a shining example
to never give up on your dreams or let your circumstances dictate going after your goals, despite financial hardships, health
and personal issues, Vanessa is determined to fulfill the mission and mandate from God to spread his message of faith, hope
and love through media arts!
